N8N and  Make are fundamentally similar tools. The way which we work them is as  follows.    You hit the + icon. Simililarly to Make, all your different tools you want  to use are here and if you want to use another app, you can use a http request.    When you need to map variables, head into an app block (node) and drag the  variable along.    But, make sure that, when you grab a variable from more than one node  before, we need to ensure we map the variable.
